A little family business growing in Chambers Flat, Queensland.

Krystal Aul wears many hats. She's the General Manager at Northbridge Recruitment, is studying naturopathy and is a proud mum to two beautiful children. Somewhere between her busy career, family life and everything in between, she's found the time to turn her passion for natural skincare and botanical ingredients into a small family-run business, Chambers Botanical.

Based on her family's property in Chambers Flat, just south of Brisbane, Krystal spent several years growing and nurturing her garden before deciding to turn her passion into something more.

Calendula, with its beautiful golden flowers, became the inspiration behind her first products, followed by lavender and other botanicals grown on the property.

What started as a personal interest has slowly blossomed into a family business.
From the Garden to the Jar
One of the lovely things about Chambers Botanical is how much of the process happens right there at home.

The family grows their own calendula and lavender, carefully harvesting the flowers by hand and slowly infusing them into oils.

Those oils are then used to create small batches of botanical skincare and self-care products, alongside thoughtfully selected ingredients such as beeswax, shea butter and plant oils.
Everything is made in small batches, with care taken at every stage, from growing and harvesting to pouring, labelling and packing.

Something Krystal and her family are particularly proud of is their commitment to sustainability. Life on the property is about working with nature, making the most of what it provides and reducing waste wherever possible.

Their farm animals play an important role, with manure helping to nourish the garden soil, while even eggshells from their chickens are reused in the garden. The family also has its own native stingless bee hive, supporting local pollinators and adding another special connection to the natural environment around them.

The property runs on tank water, making water conservation an important part of everyday life. For Krystal, Chambers Botanical isn't just about creating natural products; it's about building a business that respects the environment, makes thoughtful use of resources and continues to become more sustainable as it grows.

There's something quite special about growing an ingredient in your own garden and eventually seeing it become a finished product that someone else can enjoy.
A Different Kind of Working Day

Krystal's professional life is quite different from making botanical skincare. As General Manager at Northbridge Recruitment, her days are filled with people, business operations and managing teams.

Chambers Botanical offers a creative escape from her busy working life, allowing her to reconnect with nature and enjoy the slower process of making something by hand.

She's also studying naturopathy, further developing her knowledge and interest in plants, natural ingredients and wellness.
Building a small business alongside a full-time career and raising a family isn't always easy, but for Krystal, it's about making time for something she's genuinely passionate about.
And perhaps that's part of what makes her story special. You don't always have to leave your career behind to follow a dream. Sometimes you simply start small and grow something you love alongside the life you've already built.

Just Getting Started
Krystal and her family have plenty of ideas for Chambers Botanical.
As their garden grows, they're hoping to introduce more products inspired by the flowers, herbs and changing seasons around them.
For now, the focus is on keeping things small, creating botanical products with care and enjoying the process of building something together as a family.
The dream is to grow Chambers Botanical into a brand that celebrates nature, sustainability and the beauty of handmade Australian products, while staying true to the garden where it all began.

Welcome to Made In Australia
We're really pleased to have Krystal and Chambers Botanical joining the Made In Australia marketplace.

One of the things we enjoy most about meeting Australian makers is discovering the different stories behind their businesses.
Some are established manufacturers with decades of experience. Others, like Chambers Botanical, are young family businesses that started with a personal interest and an idea.
Both are an important part of the Australian-made story.
We're looking forward to following Krystal's journey and seeing what comes out of the Chambers Botanical garden next.
From our garden to your soul.
