Johnny Retro Tomato Sauce was originally developed for our own Maple Leaf Meats food truck, where consistency, speed and flavour matter through every service.

The thick consistency makes it easy to portion into squeeze bottles or ramekins, while its broad flavour profile means one sauce can work across multiple menu items.

Born in Foodservice

Before Johnny Retro was on a retail shelf, our sauces were being served to customers from our Melbourne food truck.

We started making our own sauces because we wanted something better suited to the food we were serving. Those recipes were developed and refined through real service before becoming the Johnny Retro range we manufacture today.

That experience still shapes how we make our foodservice sauces — bold flavour, dependable consistency and products designed to perform in a commercial kitchen.
